Recommended Use: Take one tablet twice daily with meals: one in the morning and one in the evening. The recommended dose range is 5 mg to 20 mg of policosanol per day. The individual dose should be based on the amount of Policosanol required to lower cholesterol to the ideal range of between 180 and 200 mg/dL. Some people will only need 5 mg while others will require 20 mg per day. The average person uses 10 mg a day of Policosanol to achieve optimal cholesterol control.

Toxicity tests in rats using 1724 times the human dose showed no toxicity.Policosanol does not interact with other drugs such as blood thinners and may potentiate the effectiveness of cholesterol lowering drugs.
